A good report Freaky (even if is wasn't in the bidding ). Sounds like a bike you wouldn't want to touch no matter how rare. Maybe as a 'sense of duty/history' resto starting as a $500 'gift'.

It shows the pitfalls of Ebay - a less than frank seller , some dodgy photos and optimistic trusting buyers . I think it will end in tears, I wonder what the price will end as.

I know nothing about them its a old british bike like my uncle had in the UK.  how would i know whats good or bad, out of my marques.

To be fair on the zinger Graeme, he seems a nice guy, he just put up what he had, i looked back on those fotos tho just then and he is lucky they are good angles, you cant see the engine, kickstart all the other shit etc at all or easy or even the front end, if you saw the hub from the other side you say WTF, as to the rear pillion pegs welded on the swingar, the stand, rewelds etc etc

Sometimes nice wide shots are better than lots of good clear ones, it allows your buyers imagination to wonder, ( funny he didnt use his 10  free shots in the listing hey ? ) ,  i think he is playing this smart, you get to bid on what you see, and you wont see much .......   

my vote is on an old guy interstate buys it thinking its a barn find and easy resto.  I put a beer on a wood duck fitting that profile at $4k, then after spending another $2k relists in 12months or is sold on as too hard for less than he actaully spent to quit it.

Haha, Rossco is right. Freaky, if I had a shed full of them I'd gladly sell one to a good home.
But I'm afraid I only have the one and I plan to be buried with it, Egyptian style. 
Actually a decent 360B just changed hands over here in the last month or so, and the
new owner has a 250B already!!

Id prefer the 'A' if i can find one , even just the frAME,  i have a few 431 motors already and a trick 432, but would be nice to slip them into a frame for a run on the mx track proper.  I was hoping thiws one was going to have the outside stuff to just slip in one, but alas i have enough parts bikes parked in the corner awaiting getting closer to the door.....

keep me posted red if you hear of one coming around, happy to pay what its worth, i have come across a few lately but there either just price shopping me, they have issues or even after agreeing to sell - on dont get back to you.   So they sit for another 5 years till they die. 

Alas i hate dealing with enthusiats its like hearding cats............

Why not ask the seller to send you some pic's if your super keen. I sure if I was selling it and getting those kinds of bids I would send or post some if it was a genuine seller! Especially if your buyer is interstate!!!

if it wasnt late when i looked at it i wold have taken some.  although pics dont do it justice, its a differant thing in the flesh.

MX250 i retracted mine which was at $902.   didnt make any differance but did drop the bid count.  actually notice its gone from 23 bids done to 20 so a few more have come off.

im now getting curious as to making it go backwards........  that would be a fun game to play
