here's a pic of the Deckson Demon $50 for the roller (top $ I know but I had to have it! ) the vintage B&S engine I already had in stock, I have a throttle cable and I have footpegs (suzuki pegs at that!) so now I just need to find me a centrifugal clutch, fix the flat front tyre and I'll be in business..or at least the local surgery may be in business

Your local lawnmower shop should be able to get you a centrifugal cluch.
I think Bynorm or one of the other after market suppliers have them.

thanks Viper,I should ask yocally as the clutch I've my eyes on at present is a US made item on fleabay for $89 delivered seems like a good thing but there's a kart shop about 5 minutes from here so I'll poke my head in and have a sniff around tomorrow. A new chain would be nice too as I don't think a bit of oil is going to save what's there.. in my whole entire existance I have never ridden 1 of these wild contraptions so it should be an experience to say the least...even if near 40 years after the fact

Doc - one of these caused my most significant injury of my bike "career" - couldn't work the pull starter so jump started it but forgot to jump on and got pulled behind - not a nice picture!!!

Don't forget the footpeg springs

No Freaky not all of them, I had one off these as my first bike with Victa engine and the two (elder) brothers had the ones with fork travel and Kirby 2 strokes with jack shafts and Mercury clutches which in 73 was the hot setup. We used to run at Mount cotton and North Brisbane junior club when it was still at Samsonvale if you go back that far Doc?

Had one of these in the guise of a Grand Prix also running a Briggs and Stratton. It had a habit of throwing the drive chain once the bike attained its peak velocity (about 60k's I reckon but seemed a lot faster ) and locking the back wheel up solid - I learn't alot about sliding and gravel rash. I also learn't a bit about electricity. To stop the engine you were required to push a metal tab against the top of the spark plug to earth the electrics - which was all well in theory but often led to nasty moments when your finger acted as the earth instead. :'(

all these stories are getting me a little anxious I can tellya! maybe it'd be better as a static display

mental note to self...fit a real killswitch, buy new chain, check life insurance is paid and be very very frightened

thanks for the positive words everyone as we all know, the devil makes work for idle hands it's another stop gap while I hunt up some bits for the TS90



which...ironically, is also a stop gap project 

at least until the Nats when the last of my TS250's arrives from the west thanks to the WAVMX guys then the real projects begin...

btw, missed the last 2 VMX mags due to shit not happening so I'm sight unseen of the Old Boys and Small Toys article..I shall go give myself 50 lashes right now!
