Here's a shot of Brian Curtis and one of his beautiful frames and the finished product. Brian was the builder of the original Norton Villiers HL frames back in '77-78.

We've covered this in the past Alison. It's an interesting story.

Yeah well the rate things are going in the ship building business I had better polish up the old brazing skills  ;D

Think there is room in the market specialist VMX producer with Japanese quality and customer service level.

happy day spent today on the KSI theme bike, string lining the sub frame, all lines up, seat feels better when it faces the same direction as the steering head.  :D

Hey marc

It's coming together and looks really good. There's always a market for someting cheap that works. What about one of those frames with an Enfield India engine in it. It would make a great bike if your'e on a budget. Especially if it could be tuned well enough. 8)

Indian Enfield..... errr no I think the Honda 250 would trounce it, besides you can tune this bike easily, just swap the engine for a 500 as all mounts etc are the same ;).

Plan A is I have a 285cc kit and yoshi cam in my war chest for it. I wanted it to be easy to ride small bore 4 stroke as have plenty of 500s sitting about and needed a change of pace.

Like anything, if I built the KSI them bike again I could build it twice as good. It would be easy to do as a kit, you could do a nice little laser cut conversion bracket for the top shock mount and a set of instructions on where to cut and paste. Then all you need is old IT swingarm and CR detachable sub frame. With a mig welder you could do it in a day.
