Shipping trap for the unwary.

Nice tank, just what I need so I was about to bid until I saw the shipping cost. I contacted the seller but he won't budge so the search for a tank seller offering an honest shipping cost goes on. The trap to avoid is anybody shipping UPS or FedEx. They sellers do it because they don't have to go to the post office as both of those companies pick up at your address. The downside is that the buyer cops the extravagent fees.

$622.18 Gee thats a lot to have a courier pick up . A trap for the unwary . I reckon the seller will profit more directly then he lets on; I smell a rip off .

Yep..tops. I recently got a fibreglass B44GP replica tank here for $35 shipping. The crook thing is the above bloke has some nice tanks for sale and he's effectively removing cashed up UK/Euro and Aussie buyers from the equation. Some American sellers just don't get it.

To the sellers credit, he just got back to me again stating that the shipping is indeed way too much and he'd be happy to send the tank via USPS. Methinks he may have had other enquiries from overseas, prompting a rethink. Now, I'll watch the bidding with interest and hopefully get to bid on it.

Hey Guy's i've only had about 50 trades in the States but never had any problems at all, I've had wheels, pipes and a few other bulky items through from time to time and never been nailed yet. I had a piston kit turn up 2 days after the auction closed out of Texas, so saved this trader to favorites, good luck, cheers MC
