YZ80G
« on: July 04, 2009, 05:28:20 pm »
Well I haven't been able to find a YZ125G to buy as yet to relive the memories of my youth, however we just picked up this YZ80G to put aside as a long (long) term project to do with my son in a few years. I had one back in the day that my brother and I bought new ($749) and I still have the Heikki Mikkola clock that came with it.
This one's a non-runner and a bit ruff but should make a good start, so if you guys come across any parts or a service manual (paper or on CD) please let me know.
cheers
Woody
.

Mike doesn't look too sure about the new project and probably rather a KTM?

The only pic we have of the old one;

I too had one. Mum and dad bought mine. Dad would work for three days tiling a pool and would have the $749 to buy the bike. There's no way you can do that now! Shows how the value for money has gone down.
I still get pissed off that i threw away my Mikola clock  >:(

090, here's a pic of the 29yo clock. The second hand has seen better days but she still keeps good time.
