Shipping PE400 from Tassie to Perth
« on: June 13, 2009, 01:04:59 am »
Has anyone shipped/ transported a bike for Hobart to Perth? I have a work mate that said if I arrange shipping I can have the bike. Must admit I would love a PE400 again, well PE. I had a PE175 back in 82-83. Good bullet proof bike.

Anyway if some has done this or can recommend a transport mob it would be appreciated.  :)

It is expemsive I would imagine close to a grand, but if you can get it to melbourne to my door you may be able to take advantage of this cheap shipping,  http://ozvmx.com/community/index.php?topic=8175.0

I just purchased a montesa from tassie in bits and it cost me couple hundred to get to melbourne, so may wipe 200-300 bucks off the price..

If that helps PM me.

I haven't used this lot yet but if I remember they are called www.packsend.com.au.  They quoted me on a crated bike 1.1 high, 2 long and 530 wide $450 Perth to Brisbane which I thought was OK.
