Millfarm Scramble - Wandering WA
« on: June 11, 2009, 10:30:04 pm »
The Millfarm Scramble is on 29th & 30th August in downtown Wandering - just one & half hours south of Perth. This is the VMX club of WA's big event on the calendar.
pre' 75 this also includes sidecars.
Entries now on vmxwa website 8)

The track is laid out once a year at the Ferguson family's Mill Farm through gently undulating paddocks, flush with bright green grass clinging to a loamy top soil. Perfect roost country.

There is no charge for spectator entry as it is just a club run. If you want a map to the track just go to our website at www.vmxwa.com and go to tracks section. Racing will start as soon as the fog lifts but there will be plenty to see prior to the start. Bring your camera and snap some of the best pre '75 machinery on show. There will be a canteen on site (selling food at 70's prices) as well as toilets. So you'll be able to watch some good vintage racing, have a feed, a drink and then relieve yourself before the cruise home.

See you there!

The entries for this great event are now downloadable from at the following link:

http://vmxwa.com/Forms-&-Calendar/View-category.html

If you need assistance with accommodation, get in touch with myself or Alison (VMX247) and we'll see what assistance club members can give.

Go on do it, you know you want to.  Over 125 pre75 vintage solos and sidecars last year!!!!  It's one of those weekends to remember.

We held an Elsinore only race at Amaroo Park back in '89 '90 open to both 125 and 250 and it was won by Renee Hunter on a 125 ahead of some fast boys on 250s. Unless you ever saw this little girl race, you wouldn't believe how fast she was.

Hey Mates.

Have a great event and hopefully it will go off a bit easier this year since I won't be there to get hauled off in the meat wagon.
Hope to be back next year for the Nats.
Take care.

Come back Bill we promise not to run over you again, if fact we'll let you win if you want.  Your presence will be missed, I'll have no-one to help keep the dogs away from the yammie!!

OK so lets get this straight.  We in the West will gaurantee an Elsinor will win a race at Wandering.  Now that will be something worth seeing!!!!   You know that is a seldom seen occurrence

So far I reckon we'll have 10 sidecars runnning, which if it was like last year will be absolute mayhem.  Alison will confirm or deny

Over 55 come wearing your war paint.  We had Bill davis racing from the US of A last yr but found the competition a bit hot (sorry Bill only joking).  And the comment was "it's only for sheep stations".  Well 27 riders lined up for that event and what a great time was had.

So come on give it a go, we won't mention the bonfire and roast Saturday night!!!  you guys especially in SA, just down the road

The things I like about a rebuild are the personalities and the time that have gone into breathing life back into a bike................. :-*

Well Nats are over and the black Ducks are on the way home, praying they get their bikes back in time for the mills farm Scramble on the 30th.   125 Riders last year, was brilliant.  This year the rumour is 12 sidecars, might just park the bike and watch the nutter's go at it.

Come over you guys you'll enjoy it
