all things 414 i seem to remember the first 4 i went to were in Victoria and were bloody good events but why sulk and spit your dummy after one meeting in queensland? I talked ove rthe idea of a CD with Ray Ryan before it got going and it was about FUN not inuendos and sulking! Ride it dont hide it.

Mate I'm happy for you to have CD where ever you like. I'm just happy that we're up to our arm-pits in race meetings down here for most of the year anyway.

Poor sad old 414. you seem to not to understand just what the CD idea is all about. I've heard you wingeing about NSW and QLD before. I think we are the lucky ones you stay in your melbourne comfort zone. If all of us can have fun in Victoria at 4 CDs, why can't you respect our having fun for one in Qld? Too much fun in Qld for grumps like you I reckon.

as much as i would like it in my backyard down in in Vicco,  after seeing the pics that have been posted, the climate Qld has and the great track of conondale i think QLD will get my vote.

i cannot think of a suitable venue in Vic to host what is a growing event, barrabool has a great track but no camping, broadford has good facilities but a non suitable track. i guess i better get up there next year.

I missed CD6 but have been to Conondale twice, I'd love to go back and ride again. I'm making plans for next year. Where ever it is it's a long way, but not as far as the WA guys.

Over the next year I'll make sure I have a period-correct silencer extension sorted for Vandy's bikes (obviously still made from a pig) and have my scanner on-hand for any gaskets we need to make over the weekend.  I can't promise any improvement in trying to keep up with Macca's moves on Saturday night.

Seriously though, as far as next years event is concerned I'll happily travel, but jeez it'd have to be good to top Conondale.

We will have to wait and see what happens with Barrabool, if they get the million dollar grant from the government plus what they have made on top of that anything's possible. They have big plans for the complex, one being accommodation.

Quite a few camped at Barrabool the other week when they had the back to Barrabool weekend, they brought in portable showers and toilets etc.

If Conondale was on Cocos Island I'd still go there for CD7. I've been to every Classic Dirt and have to say that the venue, weather, people and most of all the positive vibe leaves all of the others to shame. As great a track as Barrabool is, the whole overall complex at Conondale leaves it for dead. I realise the it's a long way for Victorians but Hilly made the long journey and he reckoned it was way worth it.....I'll definitely be back there for the Nats, it was that good an experience.

PS...Groundwork has begun for NZs first Classic Dirt style event. Stay tuned.
