Hello fellows, l have be preparing race tracks for years, the old mortlake track was great, it was excellent, very fast, off camber corners, ungelating very much like a European style track and l always made sure that the track was prepared to cater for pre65 to pre 80 classes, l personlly like long straights top gear straight not these short 1,2,3,straights, when they are long straights it sorts thr riders out and you have less accidents on the first corner. A track should be know less than 1.5k to 2 k round. The classic scramble clubs track at Harrow is 2k round and fast , and you can ride your own pass also, there isn`t anything worst than riding on a goat tracks, and no short stop and go corners, that is modern style racing.
A track should flow from start to finish, and as l said the main straight should be long and funnels in to the first corner.
