I've been working to get the pre 75 register site finished so that folks can sign up straight onto the online register. Iwas hoping to have it up and running this week but the IT guy has buggered me around a bit, delaying the launch. Hopefully it'll be up and running next week. Go to to www.vmxunlimited.com for a sneek preview. By the time it is officially launched it also will have a Register Rides page for photos of your bikes and a Bills Pics pagefor access to Bill Forsyths photos as well as the ability to sign onto the register online.
Both Les and I have never done a website before so it's been a learning curve on a pretty basic template so don't be too critical. This website is for you pre 78 guys out there soif you want to contribute photos or articles, just let Les or I know.

Nice site! And I like this Pre 78 register thing too. Can we sign up right away? I was just thinking the other day of getting a Pre 75 register going to keep up what Brad started, good to see you guys have beaten me to it. And you'll do a better job than I would have, that's for sure.

Good stuff. :)

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

My IT guy got back from wherever he's been tonight and he told me he'll have the stuff I need up on the site tomorrow or Saturday. In the meantime I've got some other interesting stuff to load up tomorrow or the weekend as well so I hope we can launch it over the weekend. Les in in Thailand with Walter doing a YSS shock service seminar so I hope it's up before he returns. Thanks for the nice feedback.

We're doing it to give the pre 78 movement a voice of its own. As Evo and Pre 85 become stronger, the original vintage classes are at risk of being swept under the vintage carpet. If we have our own voice through this site it'll help to keep the true vintage classes alive and active. I really hope all of the pre 78 owners and competitors can sign up and become a part of the gang. It's free and hopefully you'll enjoy the cameraderie.

We've been trying to get the Vintage Register site and Les's other sites up and running for a couple of weeks but there is some sort of software glitch that out IT guy is desperately trying to sort. The NSW Vintage Register site has been ready for a couple of weeks and we were only waiting for the IT guy to seperate it from the VMX Unlimited mothership and operating under its own steam. Unfortunately that hasn't happened and both Les and I are a little pissed off at the delay. We hope it's fixed soon.

Thanks for  update,
I have managed to find product listings for vintage plastics via a Google search,
but it seams that the link on their  home page is dead,
link to apparel on VMX unlimited also does not seem to be working,
I have sent email direct to Les re my inquiry,
Thanks again
Noel

I hope Les drops whoever is responsible and gets it fixed...
Keep it simple. Keep it functional.

Congratulations, :)

http://www.vmxunlimited.com/

Great to see.

Without meaning to 'rain on your parade' or deflate you after the obvious effort to get it up and running, a critique would be the photos of the products don't give a good impression or depiction of the product because of size and/or the angle of the shot.

I hope that critique is not too devastating, just something you might like to fine tune as you go along. ;)

After some piss poor delays that have frustrated both Les and I, both Les's VMX Unlimited site and our NSW Pre '78 VMX Register sites are indeed up. HOWEVER the it guy still hasn't fixed it to enable potential members to sign up online and seperate the site from the VMX Unlimited site by giving it its own URL. This is bloody frustrating and I apologise. I'm old school computer non literate so I have no idea of the machinations involved myself, except that we've been told "it won't be hard".
I'll talk to Les and the IT guy later today and try and sort it out. In the meantime, check out the VMX Register site and see my first up effort at putting a website together. It's not the prettiest site on the 'net but it comes from the heart and can only get better with your involvement. Let me know what you think.
