This is on the Mark Holloway Swapmeet right now. Cheap as shit. LAST CHANCE, Redline framed YZ400. 1976 w/ 510 series motor , YZ wheels and forks , S&W gas shocks, alloy swingarm ( White Bros ? ) very nice YZ alloy tank. Exhaust is custom routed OEM YZ w/ aftermarket silencer. Pegs are YZ and are finished w/ all fab work.
Still needs motor looked at and motor mount bolts, fenders replaced. SPARES include NOS intake manifold. custom opaque number plate side panels,NOS Wiseco piston. Bike is in Vegas. $1250

Probably because the monoshock was a pig in '76.

I reckon the bike is twin shock because the frame would have been built for an MX250/360/SC500. The bike looks a bit slapped together as if he's put it together using a spare YZ400 hulk he had laying around. It's still a good buy though. Pity about the exchange rate.

Yes i agree that it's probably a frame built for a '73/'74 model or it would've had more rear suspension travel.

NAr its just a flat track frame converted with some other MX swingarm stuck in it, its got the pick up points on the right side for the master cylinder set up, if it was made as a MX it wouldnt have those parts put on it.  PRobally why it looks all high and weird too im guessing the seat is just fixed on top of the top rail which is why the back looks odd and the swingarm not long enough.
