MAICO LEGEND "REBORN"

New MC250, MC320, MC500 or why not an MC700

or just a plain old NEW 1981 MC490 REPRODUCTION, If the latter is the case, it would mean a source of new replacement parts, some that are currently unavailable.

I supose that would mean a true legend "lives", or is "reborn"

Dirt Action were supposed to test a 700 a couple of weeks ago but the bike didn't arrive. Some guy in Qld is importing them.

A Maico 700 is available?!!
So that's nearly twice as awesome as what we're used to?
A double awesome Maico? What will they think of next...

I reckon the 700 motor was probably built for the European sidecar motocross market, they use big 2 stroke singles like that.

Bingo! So would the 700 be built by Zabel for Maico or vice versa?

Has anyone out there got or ridden any of the NEW Maicos. If so what are they like compared to a new KTM SX or Yamaha YZ 250.

I used to own one, a 99 model 500. I raced it for a few years.
Good fun bike to own and race.   Was one of two brought into Australia in 1999.
