Nice shot at ACUSA park Tony.

i knew a bloke (Steven Breese) that raced that the year after Vandenburg had it and it was a weapon, Trevor Flood really worked that over, Goof was very strong to hold onto that thing, he was only a lightweight then.

thats great you guys knew the riders in the photos!. ive also got a sales brochure of the 85 RM 500. i put it on the old forum. i wonder if that guy who has all those works bikes that are being featured in VMX would have one of the watercooled 500"s. there could be one sitting in a shed in europe somewhere. it would be good if one still existed and we could see a feature on one in VMX

that would be good if you could post some photos on here Holeshot. i like early 80's suzukis with the euro gear like WP, TMV twin air etc. Trevor Flood used to bring it all in. ive got a few ads with tricked up TS-X 250's with all the gear from 'gasssit motorcycles' ( think that was the name)

yeah it was called gassit motorcycles Trevor used to build race bikes for the public 125 250 500s they were like a phase 1 2 and 3 the1 had ported barrel white power spring white power fork kits ,the 2 had twin air box ported (a bit more ) white power shock fork kit  tmv muffler adj rear struts , the 3 had more porting again reeds  stroked motor on 500 s white power shock tmv full system twin air box adj struts differant carb simons usd forks billet triples and anything else they could find it was basically a vandenberg replica  for sale to the public but at the time they were expensive i do not think they sold too many of the 3s i may have forgotten some of the extras they used it was 24 years ago  they also had safety seats very trick bikes would not knock back a phase 3 500 mmmmmm  :P :P :P :P :P
will try to post some photos in the future

I know that this thread is really old & most of the images have been deleted , but I saw this picture of Vromans watercooled 500 works bike on the MXTRAX.UK website & remembered someone was asking about it a while back .

wow, all you really need is a 250 roller and Quadzila motor and the thing almost assembles itself.

Just picked up WP shock for my 500, might actually get it together to ride it at some point.

Doesn't the quadzilla motor have a counterbalancer shaft in it though ? I would think that this would make it hard to fit into a 250 chassis as the 500 crankcases would have to be a bit bigger .

depends on your definition of hard. hell counter balancer has got to be good thing and Suzuki must have done something with that water cooled 500 R&D, like built a motor for a quad.
