RM125A DG head.
« on: March 23, 2009, 07:57:01 pm »
Hi Fellas, I have just put a DG head on my 125A and there is very little clearance between the exhaust and the sparkplug cap, shoud I dent the pipe in a bit or try and space the pipe out? Would it make any differance to the perforance. Thanks John.

try to space the pipe out a bit, you do not need a heap of clearance. OR change plug caps

shorter plug means the thread is shorter. The external part will still be the same and still hit the pipe.

I bought  the short plug (its about 8mm shorter) and it does the job beautifully, has about 4mm clearance now. Thanks Rusty. Will still have to remove the top mount bolt to move exhaust over to get plug out but at least I wont have to dent the pipe and make it look like a Yamaha.Eddie, Aussie Bad Brad and I are leaving on Friday the 3rd to race the famous Fordell track by Wangavegas, we"ll be thinking of you guys , well maybe. We might even get to do a few laps on DJs tar racer.
