TM Bill, just what is it you are trying to say here?
It's not always clear to me how to deal with complaints - my rule of thumb is more than one complaint means there just might be something I need to do. That said, this IS a bloke's forum and isn't meant for kids, or easily offended folk. But how do I stop em wanting to be part of the site? Or complaining if they are offended? I am tempted to just put a big warning out the front - "Blokes Place - Don't Come In If You Aren't"... But that's a bit over the top. The forum was always intended to be a VINTAGE MX forum, and let's face it, that includes the ladies, kids and sensitive types. So, if that's the case, I kinda have to cater for that spread of people. And while I mostly try to be pretty easy going about language and pictures, sometimes I have to step in. Personally, I have no problem with Ji's avatars - very nice. You'd have to try a lot harder than that to offend me. But I am not everyone else. So, I will continue to do my best to walk the fine line. Sorry if it's not quite right all the time, whichever way it goes.
And look, if I do step in and suggest to you toning something down, please just take that with good grace and don't post something on the forum so that we end up with yet another thread that gets people going. It's meant to be a private thing. I'm not picking on you personally, unless you co0me back at me with a vengeance. In which case I'll always win - I own the place.
And that's not meant to be a cheap shot at Ji, he has responded very politely. But others haven't, so this is a general message about how I try to moderate the forum. Remember, you could NEVER offend me. But you might offend others, and I want this to be a forum for us all.
