been working at the bushfire areas ,some pics

in these 4 pics it shows were the fire came over the ridge from king lake and down to these poeples house ,they were trapped and couldnt get out ,they hid in the mud brick house as the fire front /ball came through then the house literally exploseded and the jumped into the small creek and lay there with wet blankets on them till it basiclly passed  ,they are very lucky people

the road is a dead end and it was the only way out and the other side off the road shows how hot it was .the forensic teams are still working in this area
 

its thre erieiest place it just goes for miles and miles

Great photos Paul.
I have been involved with house fires before and when you enter the hulk of the burnt out building they do project a feeling of darkness. You certainly never feel comfortable in or around one.
Thanks for allowing us to see what it really looks like.
Our thoughts are with the survivors.

Is that the creek bed in pic three where once ferns flourish. Amazing how hot it got , everything on the ground is just ash

One of the reason I asked what species of tree Paul was cutting.
All the other shots are of young trees or is it plantation ?.
I didn't know if it was a local or not,as the timber cutters left the forest over 30 odd years ago.
Now we are left with younger trees and more undergrowth to deal with as a Forrest management issue right across Australia.
just trying to get bearings on the country side-not that this is easy now its gone.
