Correct, Big K was not "practicing for an unfair advantage" he was riding a bike which had just been finished off for this weekend, in his back yard when he had a 5mph crash which just landed him the wrong way. Seems like a few of you guys like to get into some body without knowing all the facts. Without k's efforts we would not be riding tomorrow at all.

No broken femur, a couple of cracked ribs and a mashed left knee but the big problem is the haematoma. I've ruptured the deep femoral vein and it's bled pretty badly. No surgery at this stage (I hope not at all), but they need to keep a close eye on it as the complications can apparantley be disastrous. It looks like I won't be able to ride for the next 3-6 months, I hope they are wrong. Not much pain at the moment thanks to the morphine. I will get a photo up when I get out, you won't believe the size of this thing. It looks like I've shoved a football under the skin on my thigh. I got the nice nurses and my wife to take some happy snaps. Thank god or whoever that I decided to take the trip to the hospital, there was a while there I thought I'd be able to tough it out and ride tomorrow. The dry conditions caused the 430 to bitch slap me straight into side of a jump in my back yard. I can't believe the damage such a low speed crash has caused. Just a freak accident I guess. I'm pushing hard for them to let me out tomorrow so I can at least get a look at the days racing. Depends on whether they can find the pulse in my left foot which is conspicuous by its absence at the moment. I really don't like being here.
Cheers,
K

Thanks all for the kind thoughts. The news is of good, as the pulse is back in my foot and the swelling hasn't increaesd, although my left leg is almost black. I can hobble around and will probably need crutches for a while. They say it could take 6 months or more for the clot ot be re-absorbed. I've done some fast talking (whinging), and I hope to be out by lunchtime today. I might make it to the track for presentation.
Cheers,
K

Big K,

Bugger  >:(  All the best from the Baker Maico Team, a most unfortunate injury, take care & we wish you a speedy recovery. Hope the day went well today in your absence, I'm sure that all were there supporting you, regardless. MX Madness, please explain, as obviously not a lot of forward thought went into your post.  :-\

Did you make it BigK? hope you did  ;)  Listen carefully about the dangers of that Haematoma friend please.
I was on my way to Ravo when the ******* mobile rang with the message my daughter was on way to hospital with bad "asthma". So detour for me and Kathy to Swan hill. Found her pretty much ok when we got there with a good dose of ...food poisoning... poor breathing was due to to much 3D yawning..... See you at Broadford maybe next week ? but only on a four wheeler..... ;)  Cheers Tim
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
