I bought this bike from Ozvmx forum member Col in November 2007.
Just thought Id post up a progress pic, should be complete in the next couple of weeks.
I had one brand new in 1980, (I left school at 14 and got a job working in a wire factory to buy it !)

Still trying to locate a DG Pro-Flow scoop for it.
Thanks to Michael Hughes from Bendigo Dirt Bikes for his help.
If anyone is thinking of getting a Clarke fuel tank I can highly recommend them.

Thanks Guys
The finish is probably better than brand new, it definitely wont be getting dirty, unless a dust storm blows through the rumpus room !

Very nice Kev. I bought one new from Hollywood Motors in Liverpool- I was working across the road at Chatsworth M/C Accessories at the time. I remember a H/P interest rate from hell too!!. I have one again now that I have raced since about 97. I am planning to do my version of an RH style resto on it this year some time. Just need to get the 'Tony D" front guard and it is ready to go. That bike has been as reliable as an elbow and I love the look of them. Cheers.

"where did you get the rear fender?"

I have about 20 NOS RM250 rear fenders sitting in my shed.......

Only joking, I wish it was a NOS rear fender
It's actually from Vintage Suzuki.
The bike has NOS front mudguard, front number plate, and side panels.
Clarke fuel tank and Vintage Suzuki rear fender
I would happily pay a lot of money for a NOS rear fender...

Sweet resto - too good to ride !!!

Eye candy - like a Rickman Honda 750 I saw in a guys lounge room a few weeks back

Enjoy the memories - are you doing one to race / ride / play ?

'bout the same time as "stickers" became "Decals" and they stopped putting betroot on hamburgers. ;)

This bike looks amazing, top job.

Were all the engine and gearbox internals rebuilt too?

On beetroot on hamburgers: Americans i met on my travels could not fathom the idea. I urged them to give it a try, but that was after i made them try Vegemite, so they probably never did.

Can't wait to see this bike finished.

Got any before pics? Its like an extreme make over on the telly, starts out as a fat toothless crack whore and 6 months later looks like a super model...
