Now for the Saturday night movie

Evel Knievel an hour and 20 minutes. The 1971 Biography of the famed motorcycle daredevil, much of which was filmed in his home town of Butte, Montana. The film depicts Knievel reflecting on major events in his life just before a big jump. Average/below average quality and pretty corny but still got me interested enough to watch it  :)

yeah he sure managed to crash in spectacular style..I idolized EK when I was a kid but then later in the 80's on along came Dale Buggins on a 250G and made poor ol' Evel look a little ordinary  8) actually I remember a few, Dale, Johnny Wonder, Eddie Kidd but there was a lot more..about 15 years ago I had a YZ250G that was reputedly an ex Dale Buggins bike..just had to assemble it from boxes as usual..it did have huge spokes and  you could see it had an easy life but sadly I rode it once, it sputtered and farted up top so I sold it off for bugger all without investigating..another bike I should have kept  ::)  vid below is worth a look  :)

Wow that would have been something rolling up on the startline with a Dale Buggins  Bike . Me and Hoony were talking about a stunt show at calder park a long time ago ,I might search it on Utube .It was johnny Fogwell  (i think ) and Hoony's heroe a yank who mono a CR sitting on it backwards

The other thing that stuck out was his clothes ,they looked good till he hit the ground and then flew apart.A good set of old time leathers might have saved him a bit of pain ,Not that he felt it anyway.

errr.... look at evils bike compared to dales ? you jump that far on a twin shock, half ton, heavy old peices of crap or even his early triumphs, your dale had  the luxury of a light 2 stroke with monorear ?  you keep idolising Evel, hes the MAn.

(closely followed by fonzy who jumped those barrels in Arnolds car park  ;) )
