PE 400
« on: February 23, 2009, 03:43:55 pm »
Picked up this PE that was for sale on Ebay aswell as in the Oz VMX Classifieds. Needs some new plastics but is very complete and has all the hard to get pieces. Plan to use it in as many Vinduro's as possible until I can get one of the Maico's running again.

Well yes it could be PE man as I now have the full set 175 & 250 to go with this one. Let's just say I payed aound the $2k mark. I don't mind paying a little extra for something if it's got all the right bits. At the end of the day if I'm the one riding it and enjoy it the money doesn't even enter the equation.
I think this is basically the motivation why all of us guys and girls resto/ride old bikes. ;)

Looks like a T model.  The rear guard looks in good condition and it alone is worth the money.  Rare as ................

Are you going to strip the bike or just a tidy up?

Hi Mick, I notices a rear tail light for the PE400 on American evilbay just today.  There were a few other bits as well.

Maicoman will you be bringing this bike to Broadford Vinduro? I would love to see a good line up of PE 400's  :)

Cheers Mick.

Hey Mick, not sure about Broadford. I was hoping to do as much riding this year as possible if the wife lets me lol  :D  Maybe but hoping to get to all the NSW events as they are closer. When I get back from the Ring Dinger Roundup I'm getting stuck into the bikes. May still part with my other PE's and concentrate on the big bores.
