Charity Race day with the QVMX for Vic Bush fire and Qld flood victims.

HI Everyone,

in light of the sad news from Victoria, the QVMX committee has decided to donate all profits from our first 2 day event of the year at Mt Tamborine to the victims of the bush fires.

I would like to extend an invitation to all the vintage riders to join us in making this event count.



I will make sure there are details as we get this off the ground but the event will run as per the Newsletter or go to our website at www.qvmx.com

it's a small thing to do for the so many affected by the bush fires.

Hi Everyone

as of today our sponsors for this event are Motorcycling Queensland, Moto Wreck, Pro Griffin Motorcycles, Team Moto, Motul Oils, Queensland Ambulance Service, Michael and Cheryl F (our property owners) are all on board so far.

Please lets get everyone on board no matter what club your from, if you have a vintage bike get along and help raise some funds for these folks.

The Qvmx will do their best at putting the best race meet on, all it needs is your support!

Great idea Trev, and good luck, I hope the meeting is well supported as I'm sure it will be. Good luck to the riders who race at this meeting as I'm sure it will have a bigger influence than you can imagine.

yeah this a  great idea i will be there for sure 8)
we need as many riders as possible to raise
more finds for bushfire  victims
so all you brisbane riders
turn up and have a good ride for a great charity
see ya there ;D
also all classes catered for depending on numbers 8)
tambo not a bad track for the older models
so drag em down there ;D

not forgeting our flood victims in Qld, I just cant come to terms with the loss of life in Victoria.

Another major sponsor on board is On Site Rentals.

If anybody has any product they would like to donate to the raffles for the weekend please dont hesitate to contact me.

On a lighter note, I have aquired the services of 4 lovely young ladies ;D

 to sell raffle tickects and take donations from the willing competitors and spectators on the Sunday, so make sure you bring plenty of coins.

Thanks again to all the sponsors and especially MQ for getting on board.

I'll throw my hat into the ring T'Rev  should be able to provide a few good prizes for the raffle!  Both my boys are up here and keen for a ride so I'll bring the "Swoppa" (AKA Will) and "Chook" (AKA Mick) down for a ride.  Havn't been to Tambo for a few years looking forward to it.

thanks for throwing your hat in the ring Bill and it will be great to see the boys ride again.

As you will all see i've changed the heading and all proceeds will go to the Red Cross Appeal

dont forget this weekend 2 day meeting sign on for qvmx
at tamborine vintage friendly track 8)
cant get washed out (sorry brisbane) i was actually going there :'(
so you guys at brissy club come down for a good days racing and
riding remember all money goes to bushfire appeal as mentioned
classes for everything even our first pre 90 race :o
format i think is sat practice day
sun race day camping is permited

how about a capacity class with the pre 75 up against the pre 85 ... ;D
get the bets on and raise the flood/bush fire tally donations  ;D

Very very hot,very very dusty. I don't know how you guys handled it out there in that heat??? I have put some of the shots up on my site, gives you an idea how dusty it was, in the first half of the day.
