Just finished reading the article about Geoff Ballard in the latest Dirt Action. A good article. What an amazing life. Guys like that always impress the heck out of me - guys that have gone out there and done their thing regardless. Geoff Eldridge was such a person too, with so much experience in his life. And of course there must be plenty of others, guys we never even hear about.
As I sit here in my 8th floor office developing electronic libraries for a government office (at least the place has aircon!), I feel plenty of envy for people that give it all a great shake like that. I don't think I ever could have done that, but then again I never gave it a go either. Dunno if you have to be somehow special to do it, but the average Joe Citizen doesn't.
Leads me to think that a more in-depth biography of the men and women who followed their dreams in this sport of ours would make fascinating reading. Imagine the companion publication to VMX Magazine - VMX People? I'd pay to see that!!!
PS - Honest Muzz and GB's wife used to be an item? The things you find out.
