« on: February 05, 2009, 06:59:02 am »
guys my kx 250a needs a rear chain guide , im reluctant to ride it without this guide on the bike, i have just fired her up for the first time in years and now wish to do some shake down testing before her debu race. i would appreciate if someone could let me know if they have a rear chain guide or know of what else fits, your help is much appreciated. cheers bonehead :'( :)

definatly dont ride it without rear guide :'(
chain will derail and smash cases
i bought a kx50083 model years ago
they wanted $800 for it i said yes on friday
will pick it up on monday
guess what it had no rear guide
dickhead rode it on sunday
threw chain and smashed all the cases big time :'(
still bought it cheaper for $250 but not happy
i will see if i can track one down
if you cant find original you can adapt
other models as long as the yare mounted in correct place
i have a kx250 1988 guide on my 1974 montesa 250
and a klx 400 guide on my rm370
some aftermarket guides will work

cheers rusty ;D
follow me to first turn

It is easy to replicate originals , if you PM me a fax # i will trace around mine and fax a template of both sides to you . All you will need is some 3 or 4mm aluminium plate and a teflon block for the chain to run on and some 6mm bolts & nuts cheers Bill  :)

Thanks yep im lucky enough to have both  :) i figured it was the A5 one he wants , they are easy to replicate .
I just figured that a faxed template would be the simplist way to send a scale pattern  :)
