Wierd looking bike, It looks like mix of the RD and a honda CB with those crappy 80's mag wheels. Must say I am not a fan. If it was an impala I would be on the phone right now!!!!

I agree Nutz, I wouldn't buy it on looks, it looks positively weird to my taste. I can see Honda CB in it heavy, clumsy lines - be stuffed if I can see any RD in it though :P. I wonder how good the handling and performance was. It looks overweight ::) but if by chance the weight is reasonable I would expect good handling. But for engine performance I would expect it to be absolutely hosed off by an RD.

It would be nice to have a VB360 and a Monty 350 road bike in the stable. But it ain't gonna happen ;) ::) :(.

I think it may be a case of paid to much for it, and now wants to much for it. I reckon 2-3G would stop it dead to the right person.

According to the Montesa collectors guide, the Crono rates 4 out of 5 stars for collectivity.
They were produced from 1981 to 1984.  I don't see any total production numbers.

A single cylinder 2t, I wouldn't be surprised ;). There probably is a very good reason other than hideous looks  that kept sales to 400 in 4 years :P.

I was just pointing out very simlar to a CB250 as montesa was then brought by honda, so maybe it was produced with help from honda. Asking what it goes like ect. is a fair enough question I would of thought.

As for the price I reckon it is just in that whole of bikes that people arent that keen on due to looks and for no other reason, I mean a datsun 120Y is rare these days to. I think the designs of some early 80's stuff was made whilst people were trying to figure out how there computer worked like the leyland P76(first computer designed production car late 70's I know) and the VK Comm. Digtal Dash's, so classic 80's.

Sorry. I was overstating my case. I'm just trying to say that for a bike of that rareity, in that condition, to a Montesa collector, it'd probably be a good buy.  :P
Go for it 8), ya won't get any competition from me :D. Its so fugly I wouldn't be interested at $2000. I've got my pride and I've got my standard ya know ;) ;D.
