Enjoy, I bought my KTM 500 a brother today. A new 2008 505 SXF - I needed a HAPPY BUTTON. Can't wait to get it next week. Now if I have the perfect pair a VMX 500 two stroke and a modern 505 KTM.
Old and slow - and happy

She's a genuine 1988 model!  I still get goose bumps seeing Kees Vanderven rideng one in the 88-89 GP's
I had a bit to do with them back when I was a part time spanner-man and mate to "Andy Heydon"  we had a fat time during the 89-90 seasons.  It was a strange time for Andy being the only "Factory KTM Rider" as JR and JB gave any mechanic strict instructions not to "mess" with the bike other than breakdowns.  Andy was a "legend" back then and I still think to this day that had he been able to practice and develop the bike and customise his settings, things would have been different >:(  It was that retarded that we could'nt even change suspension settings :o
Go Figure ::)

well that explains why eddie warren only lasted about 4 months with the KTM team in 1990...
he went straight back to the kawasaki team.... :)

I hav'nt talked to Andy for a while, but if Pre-90 ever become championship status, a quick phone call to Tanunda would be all it takes to entice him back onto the "grate white monster" for old times sake! ;D
I know hew still rides at a local level caining all the young blokes still 8)  That sort of talent never wains
I did buy his old Thumper-Nats KTM 520SXS that he won the 2000 championship on!

Hey Walter,
If your watching you'd remember working on the suspension on this bike ;)
