Making rear brake torque arm for XL 250/350 ?
« on: January 21, 2009, 08:42:37 pm »
Hi all,
Looks like I'm going to have to make up a brake support for the 250 with 350 (longer) swingarm. So the question is: Is there and critical angle of the dangles that need to be considered concerning the length of the arm? or is it only a matter of ensuring that cables/actuating arms all look happy.
Unless one of you kind souls with an XL350 care to give me a measurement? Thanks

The distance between the centre of the hole in the brake torque arm for the XL350 setup that I have in the rear of my 250 is 280mm, compared to 230mm for the arm from the std 250 setup.

Why do things the easy way, when with a bit of effort you can really make it difficult for yourself!!
