I lose out a little with traction in the straight line drags on the softer surfaces but I like the Dunlop K180 on the rear. What it loses in a straight line speed it seems to gather back up through the corners. Unlike the high profile trials tyres, you can almost lay it down and pick it back up again with the rounder low profile Dunlop and it remains perfectly predictable the whole time
not saying it's better but I do like them for this reason. They help me crash less and got me a 3rd overall in the 125's at Coff's last year
albeit on a lowly ol' TM125
this said I did manage a win in the 250's with a regular trials universal fitted so come to think of it, I don't think it really matters what you run so I'll stop dribbling now
