Alloy swing arms

Can anyone advise what alloy swing arms are usable on both an 1982 DR500 and 1979 SP370? Would an 82 PE250 swing arm match for example?

82 PE250's are extremely rare so i would be surprised if you had a swing arm off one of these. they are exactly the same as 80 and 81 PE 250/400 though. There was a readers DR 400/500 in a past VMX magazine and i think he used a 78 RM swing arm. He also said the PE arms fit as well as the ones from KLX 250.

White Brothers/ProFab in USA also made about 2 different swing arms for DR 500. one straight, one banana

Dr 500 1982 came out with an Alloy swing arm ( USA ) model and come up frequently on flea buy.
Yes the RM 250 C 2  swingarm bolts straight up , Pe and KLX require a few mods but nothings impossible .

N/T swingarms have wrong shock position, my DR400T has C RM400 arm which is straight bolt in.

Do you have any problem with the chain rubbing with the RMC?
I tried a 175 PE on my DR and it was a bolt on except for the shock mounts and pin[smaller]
Then I accidentally got an RMC  which seemed fine but for bearing housing wear. I sent that back before Oldfart could tell me it was fixable; and unbeknownst to me I was sent a 250PE that got lost in the post [christmas]. I found that out when I rang up about the refund .
So I could get the RMC and get a new sleeve or get a PE and get the shock mounts altered .
For all that apart from weight the box section DR swingarm is only a tad shorter and another bloke just  added some length into his SP swingarm to make the bike handle
There's yank racing a SP with a DR swingarm.
Is there any difference between a SP and DR frame, or a GN frame come to that?

I have no chain rubbing issues, thought I think the C swing arms may be inclined to rub anyway.

I always work in the theory that most parts are inter changable if you can TIG weld and use a lathe.

A Dr 400 buffer will fit your RMc arm and solve your problem

Dr and Sp frames of the same year are similar ( different frame tabs )
