Early TS250 wish list.

Chasing a few bits for my TS250 project. I realize the parts are probably 'all' available on fleabay in the US or Thailand as I type but thought I'd ask locally first as some items are weighty. No need for show condition just as long as the parts are useable, close to useable or even maybe just a possibility of being rebuildable :P

Forks (chrome steel lower type legs) - Need a pair of decent inners or complete forks. (my inners are RS)
Seat - flip up type original seat or even just a useable base and foam in need of a re-cover.
Chain Guard - pressed metal type.
Skid plate (not essential but...)
Steering damper (not essential but...)
Airbox (a little rust is fine)
Magneto Cover (really pushing my luck)
Side Stand Bracket (same as TM250, bolts onto the frame with 2x 10mm bolts, just the bracket, the stand and spring I have)

that's about all I can think...for now  ::)

erm..model..year ??? why it's a 1971/76 TS250RJKLMA Tim ;D

a regular Doc speshul ;)

the forks are the old clunker type from the '71 R or the '72 J models but the rest doesn't matter so long as it's between those years. Rust at the top of the legs is fine, pitting in the seal area is what I already have but don't like..very messy ::)

That's narrowed it down................ :D  Hey Doc I now got 8+ TC100 engines and bikes and they all are the same model and year!!!!  :o :)

Ever rode a savage without the steering dampner Doc?
 disconnexted mine for a day to see if it needed all that extra weight.

 Its kind of like making love to an angry wombat ;D

Chris,
    I have a '69-'70 TS250 roller with,I think, about two and a half motors.  I'll PM you with some pics,and you can have what you want off it ,or I can bring the whole lot to Coffs dirt track in march............or if you need it sooner,I can have it dropped off in Qld somewhere for you on a mates truck.

wow! this site is a veritable goldmine!! Least for TS stuff so it seems.
 Freaky, I'd love a '76 TS250 but I still have a TS50 stuck in Newcastle at Rocketfrog's awaiting collection. Hopefully I can get it up to Warwick but I'll have to collect it from there myself. I'd really be struggling to to get a whole bike up here unfortunately, thanks though :)

Tim, would you like a 9th TC100 engine to add to the collection! I bought it as a TS100 but got home, mustered up the courage to look at what I'd bought and it was a bloody TC not a TS..still donated a few parts to my TS (head and mag cover) so it's all good. Anyway it's here if you'd like to corner the market ;D

Roger, so long as you're not using the airbox then yes, I'd really like it back. I don't often give things away and then ask for them back cause that's just not the done thing but I can tell you about 2 days after the fact I was booting myself when I couldn't tuck in the TM250 filter with the up pipe..doh ::) many thanks! interested in the '69er too..can't have enough of a good thing 8)

Pokey, yeah, I rode mine for quite a few years without the damper, it was twitchy but never really swapped ends and spat me or anything nasty. Thinking a 21" front with the honda forks will probably help in the long run. The chrome lower forks I'm looking for are for yet another TS250 I'm planning but she'll be totally original and a long term resto thing. I'd pick a really nice popular model but I want to keep the resto affordable and by going for not so popular model but having near everything needed still available should make it easier.

Doc done ;) but would love an early rotary disk TS100 bottom end and gearbox.. anyone????  Freaky please email me with price on TS250 if possible....

Make me an offer i cant refuse.  ITs all there from what i rememeber i was going to raid it for the front and rear wheels, but then i couldnt move it round the place so its still together.

Doc , I have a bucket full of TS frame brackets along with side stand frame mount  if you want them ( hacked off over the weekend .  Managed to lighten the frame by 1/2 a kilo  ;D

 :D ya know it's funny you mention that bracket oldfart, I looked at with thoughts of removing and saw the weld and consequently shat myself on the spot and left it for you! ;D I figured it would be a permanent fixture. Sure I'll grab the bracket ;) I can redrill it and rebuild it, make it faster, more powerful, able to leap...oh fork it..yes please if it's useable that would be a nice item to have and I can turf the milk crate as she's a roller now 8) There'd have been near 500g in the bracket and weld alone! :D

Yep took me an hour to get that sucker off  ;D  sorta scatched me head after it was removed and thought was it worth the effort  ::)   NO       I recon I lost more wieght removing the brackets, than the bracket itself.
 Project should be finished by end of year.
