Just my opinion, but BLACK rims look fuggin' awful except on modern bikes when fitted as OEM.

GO FOR GOLD
Ban BLACK rims NOW

With respect, Excel rims don't suit any vintage bike. The rim shape and contour and colours are all wrong and that big whopping Excel sticker on the rims is non period awful. If you want to make a good period replica Fox bike, use Sun rims like E74 suggested.
As far as black rims, I was one of the first to have black rims on my Maico 350 and thought they looked cool when I did it in the early 90s.  Today, I'm a little more sympathetic to period authenticity and I wouldn't think of any other colour than silver or on an evo bike, a subtle gold.

You can buy the rims with buchanan S/S spokes from Vintage Iron, Nil hassal and always gets it right, or you can also get them from Back in the Day MX.

Here are the set I got of Vintage Iron for my YZ465, absolutely neat as!
