XR/HL 80
« on: November 10, 2008, 10:19:49 pm »
A sad XR80 i picked up at a swap meet, in need of some attention.

A little bit longer legs...and a future exaust laying underneath it.

A bit of angle grinder work..

Zapped back together

A bit of surgery to clear the head and frame rails..

A few black bits in 2pac

All dressed up with a new name tag

.....alot of beer involved in this one.
Cheers

That little XR80 is so good I'm crying.  :'(  I love folks who venture outside the box to build something unique, too cool.

That is so cool... looks like you went to a lot of trouble to fit yamaha covers to the engine cases. Love the MR50 mini elsinore hangin on the wall too. Nice work.

yep KB you're a genius! That looks brilliant! Typical of your work and the little elsinore MR50 is another fine example. I love toying with the little stuff too but you do it so much better! Scored a DS80 last night, total basket case less 20% but with the RM80 and TM75 bits I've laying around was thinking of building a '77/'78 PE80 :P you need to have a bit of vision and you KB surely have this in abundance and the skills to go with it..I love it! I'm green with jealousy but I love it! 8) may I include your pictures in my web VMX archive? please! ;)
