Entries are looking good with plenty of interest in the "Presidents Invitation" race.

They had fixed the water system around the track and were watering the track as we rode

Great weekend. Was a little bit hot on the Saturday for practice, but everyone still seemed to cut plenty of laps without any incidents or injuries. After a fun day of riding, a large number of people gathered in one of the local Halls for a catered meal and refreshments while watching photo slides and DVD's of past events.
Sunday racing again went well with plenty of action and dicing for the last points on offer for the year with the hilight probably being the Presidents invitation race with a number of battles taking place within the race.
I didn't hear any complaints about the weekend but if anyone has any constructive critiscism, how about sharing it so that it can be taken on board for the next event.
Bring on the 2009 season. Bigger and better.

Yep a bit hot for us Canberrans. It had me in shorts for the first time in ten years.
The Hall was a Top night Lots of Good peple .
Round 9 we had one vistor from NZ and one came up from Melbourne.
all had a Ball and we wine and dine them Well they both got to see just how much fun we have at a Heaven Vintage MX race day.

yes I do think that the Presidents race was just great .
with 3 or 4 packs of 4 to 5 guys and girls banging bars .
a full race report will soon be up on the Heaven Vintage MX web Site .
And Yes the 2009 will be Even Better ....

Hey 555,  agree,  Presidents Race was gold.

Good mix of bikes,  big field and something justa  little bit different.  I was pretty happy with where I was at the beginning of the first lap,  but then we had a restart.  Managed to carry 2nd holeshot for a while in the first lap (Yamaha 1/2),  which gave me some encouragement.  I think I ended up mid field. Great Meet,  beginning to like that track.  Is there a post with photos??

Unfortunately,  it is like 4 hours drive from where I am in SYD.  Can we get some more Mt Kembla meets next season?

Congratulations to out going Heaven Pres. Fernanado and the committee, but I can't believe we've got another South Africaaner as new '09 President, oh hang on, Denis Myers (oz555ktm) just seems to be like that, full of enthusiasm, likes a drink, a laugh, and good race. Best wishes to you and new committee guys.
ps. After riding a wet and wornout Mt Kembla this season, I'd be only too happy to drive 4hrs away from the place. Canberra is only 5hrs drive for me. Gotta be happy with the fun factor of Glenbawn.
