I've got an original set of VA 125 Telesco shocks that I'll swap for a sixpack of James Squire Golden Ale only to a VA 125 owner. I think I've got a Motoplat ignition for one as well that'll cost a bottle of Jamaican rum, once again, only to VA125 owner or restorer. I don't want these parts to go to one of you parts junky hoarders. (like me)  ;D

changed squish fron 1.6mm to 1.0mm
still the same  doh >:(
wont kick start roll starts straight away
got timing specs of jared 2.0 mm btdc 8)
was out reset much better nearly idles
then i felt something on my leg :o
head leaking they have a metal to metal seal
originally it had a thin copper ring on it
which looked dodgy so i took it out doh :'(

Holeshot,

I had trouble w the heads on my VB125 too. One of my heads was cracked thro the combustion chamber from where someone had overtightened it down, probably in an effort to seal it better. VB comp ratio was something like 15:1, so I cut a copper gasket from .7mm sheet (as I recall) & never had any probs w sealing again.

I believe the VA came std w'out a copper head gasket, so my guess is that the previous owner made one to try & seal it.
