Slider suspension
« on: October 31, 2008, 10:14:05 pm »
looking to restore my hagon jap and elstar weslake, Can anyone advise me on where I can purchase the front suspension rubbers. Both run a triple system. I would imagine a cottage farm industry in Uk may be the go. Anyone with any expertience here

Ross....You should be able to get all of the bits you need from Mick Jones in Melton, Victoria. http://www.mjmspeedwayspares.com.au/   [email protected] .
Another good source of speedway and dirt track spares is Alan Bellham in the UK http://www.speedwayserviceltd.com/

Don't forget Brisbane's John Titman or possibly Bert Kingston at BK Performance Products. 2 speedway greats still in business ;)

Doc...Titman doesn't do much speedway stuff any more as his son is the main mover and shaker in the company these days and has moved the  business more towards more mainstream bike products. Bert Kingston may be a good source too. I'd forgotten about him. ;)

Thanks everyone. Have used Matt and JT before, Have sent you a PM jimg1au. Will try some of the contactslisted and see how I go. With the CCM now finished and an old body that doesn't like getting punished on anything but grass tracks I think I'll tend more to the dirt track in the next few years. Hey Firko doesn't ageing suck!!!!! Anyway have dreams of going to Broadford in  easter next year, so I better pull the finger out and get working. Last time I did this was  to put a 2 valve together fot Ivans  long Track night at Brekky Creek in Bris Vegas, But after seeing my heat with him, Mitch Shirra and a couple of others I lost motivation on the frame. I feel unlike MX you need to be on some sort of pace for speedway or you are dangerous and dam right look like a dick.

Yeah Ross, getting old does indeed suck but I'm enjoying my golden years so much more now that I've lost over 42kg. I've got 25kg to go yet and when It's gone I may just have a ride next year(dirt track only, my arthritic hands and rooted ankle can't handle MX any more unfortunately). Are you bringing the Metisse and CCM down for the Bonanza mate? What else are you bringing? Drop into the Kompound for a brewski and a bit of bench racing. It'll be good to cath up with you again after all of these years.
