VCM Rnd 6 Stony Creek
«

Just wondering who's going down to the VCM meeting at Stony Creek this Sunday.
I haven't been before and it looks like it might be at least a 3.5 hr drive for me and practice is at 9.00!
A 5.00 am start is a bit hard to take, is any one camping at the track sat night?
Regards
Rob.

You can camp at the track, toilets will be on property Saturday afternoon.
Well worth the drive, the track is awesome.
Hope to see you there.

I plan on getting there mid afternoon, this track looks like it was made for big bores. I can't wait.

Hi Mrs Maico,
Yeah, for sure, as long as I don't break anything.
I loved Wonthaggi when I was racing minibikes back in the late 70's, haven't ridden it on a full size bike yet.
I'm thinking of camping down there as well.

My little man will be coming to his first MX race (he's now 4 months old). He couldn't have picked a better venue!
Might have to get him some earmuffs though

What a great day's racing. Was a bit dusty, but how good was Boagy's track?
As for me, I missed two rounds after getting involved in a first turn pileup in Evo with Devilman
Wasn't his fault though...
Thanks to all the guys who helped get the CZ back together for a win in the last race. We got plenty of offers of parts to get us through.
Cheers fellas.

Yes it was a great day on a fantastic track, the dust was a problem late in the day but still great fun.
So that was you in that pile up NR555, as I went past I saw through the dust a CR standing up vertical on its front wheel with the rider curled up on the ground trying not to get hit by the pack. You must have been behind him off the track a bit.

Glad to hear we're all good then..... I came together with 'Bartolini'...... He came over to guard the inside & I arrived a split sec after..... we hooked up prettty bad & I went over the bars .... I can't believe he didn't taste boagys paddock with us... he roosted off & finished 2nd.( He was laying there in the next pre 78 moto though, I think his line choice was floored all along hehe......) I came out of the fetal position & NR555 was picking himself up too, both our bikes were laying there, throttles stuck wide open. I had to ride it back to the pits on & off the kill switch.....
Did it effect your end of year over-all NR555???

Yep, the sheep stations were up for grabs mate (especially in practice eh?)
Pretty funny how both throttles got stuck wide open tho. How does that happen?
I was out of the overall points pretty much; had to miss a round this year so I don't think I would have placed in anything. I've won a couple of rounds but I've also had about 4 DNFs as well this year from being sick or crashing.
Bring on next year then!
