thats right holeshot  :D

plus the 250 stuff dont fit so well on the 360 so they are only good to the folks with 360 barrels etc, cuts down the competion for those parts from the 250 throngs for a start.

thats a little like the 360B - heard there weren't many of those around either but I know of 6 in WA alone.

Not sure of how many parts are interchangeable between the A and B HB but if you get stuck I have things like pistons and rings etc - some of the MX pistons fit as well and I know you can get a sleeve from LA Sleeve much cheaper than through the wholesaler here in Australia (or hang on that was before the dollar crashed but seriously a lot quicker anyway).

If I can help - just let me know.

cheers

Motors and everything else bar the rear frame and mono shock are really the same Ross,  youd be hard pressed to pick the 484 motors from the 432
and if he gets stuck he can always raid the RT1/DT1's to at least get it running. i got a 431 ( 250) thats a hybrid of YZA and dt1 in there to the point i cant even remember whats what  ( apart from the obious crank web and clutch)

only place you come unstuck is the barrell stud layout issue

YEAH FREAKYS RIGHT THEY ARE THE SAME
250S USE THE SAME BOTTOM END ;D
I HAVE A RT360 AND A DT360 ENGINE AS WELL 8)
WHICH OF THESE IS THE BETTER ENGINE TO DO UP DO YOU THINK
IF YOU GOT A DT OR RT ENGINE AND PUT ON SIDECOVERS FROM A YZ
IT WOULD LOOK THE SAME TILL YOU GOT UP CLOSE AND SEEN THE BARREL :o

Hey rusty it's only RT1 and RT2 engines that are compatible isn't it? The 74 DT360 engine is totally different.

i want to do her up as a full blown race bike

hey hoony spoke to ian foster last night remember him
he rode b grade on yz490swhen i was on my kx500
he still has a yz250a he cant ride now
since the crash at phillip island :-[

Yes i do remember Ian Foster vaguely, i didn't know he had a bad accident ? is he living  up QLD way now.
back then i think he lived around Leongatha or Korummburra way? i remember he gave up for a while and then came back to ride at Outtrim one meeting in C Grade and won by a good 3/4 lap or so, holeshot to flag.
