I know nothing about CZ can anyone tell me what year this thing here is and what class it should be in ?  without those rear shocks the bike looks like any other 70's bike but somone here must be into details and can give us a year cut off.

It's a '75-76 Falta 250 Freaky. The rear shocks are the stock CZ airshocks. It should race in pre '78 but is limited by the 7" x 6" suspension travel. CZs were way in decline by '75, left behind in the suspension race. If this bike would have neen released in 1973 it would have been the best in the class. I spoke to the owner of this bike at CD5, he's a nice bloke originally from the Czech Republic.

YEp he is a passionate guy, he rode it in the rally class at the state title this year but mentioned he was going to get a race license for next year, and the question was raised by a few as to what class its supposed to be in as they compared it to this 73 framed 400 that was also racing. ( well that what the steering plate said anyway)

I said i had no idea but id ask, just so it wont be Embarrassing for the scrutineer if he has to move it around in classes if its not booked in right, im sure he said it was a 175 cc though?   anyhow ill pass on pre 78, so they know where its should be, funny when new stuff turns up in the historics it can be hard to place them if its not somthing your used to seeing like tm or Mx's would be easy to bluff some bikes into classes around just having 2 shocks.

must say though i like th elook of them shock bit like fox's ha ?

The CZ airshock works a little different to the Fox airshock and even though the seals blow out on them pretty quickly they work pretty good until then. I've got a couple of pairs I got of Peter Drakeford and bought a kit to modernise the seal setup off a bloke on Mark Holloways Swap meet. I haven't done anything with them to know if it works because I haven't done anything with my CZ. The Czech bloke sure is a character. He used to be in the Czech Army or something off memory. He loved it when I gave him a Czech Kozel beer!
