Pretty ordinary ..... lack of decent airbox .... I would start with GMC HL frame

 It has been said that Brian Curtis's own  design work was rather more impressive than the HL's he built at NVT. As it happens I saw him last weekend at the British bike Bonanza down in the Cotswolds, with Sten Lundin, the Rickman Brothers etc etc

Nice bikes those Curtis Honda's, saw some running at the pointy end at Farleigh last year.
Not hard to sort out the airbox.
