I'd like to put forward a recommendation if I may - Before I do, I need to say that this forum has become a stabilising part of my day and I really do enjoy the massive amount of knowledge that is shared across the wires.  It truly is magnificent stuff.  The older I get the more I miss having knowledgeable people to talk and listen to. ;) ;)

Can I suggest the location of each forum member be displayed near their logon and thumbnail pic?  I'm not talking about putting in their personal details, I'm talking about showing what city, state or country they are based in - maybe even their local riding spot. As a relative new comer to the forum, I often sit back and try and guess where the hell these people are - given that I don't know most of you.

Hope that makes some sense
Bruised ;D ;D
The Romans didn’t build a great empire by organising meetings.  They did it by killing anybody who got in their way.

All people are your relatives; therefore expect only trouble from them

That's a great suggestion CG. I am sure you can get the location info displayed by the forum system, but I've scoured the admin settings and buggered if I can see how to...

Done 2, good idea.

How many times have i been speaking to someone and though they were in a place they arent, local would make it a little easier to remember and save a screw up.

Maybe put it in the NEW member section intro section too and a suggestion to do it , MAybe as a sticky in there , so the fat controller dont get crancky he has to read it all the time.

OK, looks like I have it figured. I need to upgrade to the latest version of the forum software to have the location thing happening. I'll have a look and see if I can get that happening...

G'day Tim,

i think they are refering to the location under the avatar pic like in my post. i too did the location thing in the profile but it does not show up in the posts, only when you look at the progile info of the forum member.
