CR125M CDI unit
« on: September 02, 2007, 09:25:33 pm »
Does anyone how to check or what the specs should be on a cdi unit? I have one that is dud, determined by substitution, I want to have a crack at fixing it. could only be diodes or transitors or stuff I suppose.

Any help appreciated.

Not like you to be divulging secrets Matt ;D

No transistors but there will be a diode, a capacitor and an Silcon Controlled Rectifier(SCR or Thyristor) in there.
Should be able to see the cap with a analogue multi meter on the Ohm scale. Not sure about the SCR but.....
Good luck as you will need it. :D
