Ideas for carb jet holder?

Anyone got a good idea for holding a range of main & pilot jets, I really couldn't be stuffed drilling & tapping 100 holes.

Have you considered something like this:

G'day Greg :-)

Yeh I currently use something like that, sometimes a bit fiddly with my fat arthritic fingers :-) I seem to remember Sudco in the US use to have drilled & tapped alloy plates, I think even each hole was stamped with the jet size?  Maybe I can make something similar from a rubber, or soft plastic, with just a 4mm (aprox) hole that the jet could safely screw into? Stay tuned, I'll see what I can construct ;-)

Indeed John, its all that works for you. i have a small plastic box for the mikuni jets with strips of grey stiff foam with holes curtosy of a rotary leather piers and the foam is still holding up after30years.   I have replaced one row  in that time from being a bit loose Im sure there are neater systems but this works for me.  I still have to look for the numbers but after 30 years it still a work in progress,  Ive seen the Mikuni setup and its nice though I cant say it works better than mine,

i have tge mikuni jet box. i dind it hard to dig the jets out with my fingers, ehich are not fat. i also have a genuine amal jet holder. neither store enough main jets let alone the other needles etc. i think a custom foam or plastic bread biard may be my answer. a work in progresd

Single zylinder set ups are pretty simple . 5 mains  5 pilots  screwed to a alu plate . 10 hol;es >10 threads . Multis are a different story . For the Dellortos I use a  old metal Metabo Drill case , kitted it out with foam compartents to contain the different slides , needles , jet  plates and spares . I must say it was used more by others to help  them out on the day ,than by myself . If van engine is on song , the plug looks right , I leave it alone.
VMX shocks , We don't just sell them - I design and produce them individually for you since 1989.

being able to store the slides, needles and other stuff is a geat idea. The foam in a case would allow a fair amount of storage. i use both Mikuni and Amal on different bikes so ideally would all be in the same box. great ides!!
