After market rims
« on: May 23, 2020, 12:53:23 pm »
Hi, has anyone used or had any experience with the alloy rims from Thailand. I put a set on my XR75 but it's just a display bike. Are they ok to use for the occasional vinduro on a IT250H...    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/YAMAHA-IT250-H-J-1981-1982-81-82-ALUMINIUM-SILVER-WHEEL-RIM-FRONT-21-REAR18/263689567824?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I've been racing on them.

They're good- who knows how good - but equal to Jap OE without their 1000% markup
If you love it, lube it.

Thanks Momus, I guessed they were ok, they have been selling them for years with no bad feedback
They have advised me to wait until late June as they can only send them with DHL because of the covid situation DHL want $160.00US to send them apposed to their normal air freight shipper who charges $80.00US

The Thais make a lot of good parts but at least for their Ebay sellers the shipping rates kill them.

DHL, FedEx etc all subscribe to the idea that Australia is treasure island.
If you love it, lube it.
