« on: March 04, 2020, 10:32:07 pm »
mate mick jones came around with starting rollers it started ok put a timing light on and made a mark  where spark happened.the stator was fully retarded .then lined up the marks and used a dial indicator it was at 3.5 btdc thought about removing the pin and moving the rotor didn't like that idea evertime you pull it apartit would be hit or miss. drilled and tapped two holes further around the stator mount and got the slot for the stator wires milled longer retarded it further till it measured 2.8 btdc.kick starts great now marked spot now easy to set with timing light. thanks for any advice it all helped.Kiwi
