So, l've just finished dialing-in my DT1 race bike, l'm so happy with how it performs l must say, she rips from the bottom-end no sweat. Piston-port with a 38mm carb, with an intake & exhaust port you could drive a truck through; l was dreading a light-switch screamer but even if l was allowed to use a reed-valve, l wouldn't !

She picks up the front wheel in the first three gears with just throttle !  lt doesn't feel a great deal slower than my KX400 or CR500 !

l remember as a kid, our TM & CR125's were loading-up all over the place, scared me off piston-ports, l have a whole new respect :-)

That's cool John, enjoy the ride. I've sold my Dt1 250 and its now back on the track racing where it belongs lol jimson

Yes l've spoken to the new owner, we will swap some info :-)  l just posted a std bore DT1MX piston to him.
