There hasn't been anything on this forum following the inaugural Conondale Classic Weekend just passed (7-9 June) so I thought I'd say my two bobs worth. Great weekend with reports of 350+ riders entered. We got there mid afternoon on Friday with a very healthy crowd already in place. Saturday riding was terrific with both mx tracks in great condition and the Enduro loops great fun, me on my 81 XL250 had a ball, the hard sections provided just enough difficulty to keep most riders on their toes without it being overly hard for the more confident riders in the crowd.
The band for Saturday nights entertainment was rocking as was everyone enjoying the atmosphere despite the small amount of come and go drizzle. If this was an example of what SCMCC can put on in years to come, anyone close to SE Queensland should lock-in this weekend in their ride calendar for next year and hopefully more to come. Well done SCMCC and everyone involved in the organising of this event, great work.
