Bike came here imported by John Kirkpatrick..he was the KTM distributor.. raced by Allan Mitchell.. he is also the guy who raced the first yellow tank 250.. bike came as Enduro model.. with lights,  speedo etc.. mid - side mount exhaust..centre stand etc.. not certain who made the exhaust pipe.. but was motocrossed with a down pipe.. was 5a engine.. alloy conrod.. which I managed to break one day at Manjimup.. tank was eventually painted yellow .. had chrome side panels on the tank..I raced in when I first started Juniors  so 14-16 years of age.. which would make it 1972 when we had it.. so Allan Mitchell would have had it new in.. say 69 ish..? we sold it and bought a red fibreglass tank 125 with a 6B in it..where the steel tanker went .. who knows..

Thanks Watto. I remember talking to JK about getting a Penton. Said he got little help from John Penton. Perhaps somebody else over there in the west may know a bit more info. Cheers Bill
