Yamaha clutch actuator arm bearing removal?
« on: September 04, 2018, 09:36:06 pm »
G'day all,

I'm having trouble removing the clutch actuator arm bearing out of my 84' XT600...It has very little lip and blind hole as well. Anyone have any clue to remove them?

I have had good luck with a concrete Dyna bolt, select one with the tightest fit in the bearing, do up the nut to lock in the bearing id, Clamp the bolt in vice grips & tap up on the viceys, works for me ;) ;) :) :)

Used to do that many times in my youth, did it with grease though, would never waste good toast!

Not sure if it would work on a needle roller as the grease would squeeze out between the rollers so the hydraulic action wouldn't be as good, maybe that's why you use bread?

I have tried the blind bearing puller today...not much of luck from it because it hasn't got any lips for the puller to catch on...more or less just slips out as soon as i start to hammer it.  :(
