The X11 Michy is a radial and directional, but does it much matter for dirt track?

Have always turned on my trials bikes & haven't noticed any difference to how they behave

Thanks guys, figured it didn't matter much. No obvious tread/compound differences so must be purely to do with the overlap in the plies. Just Michelin playing safe I assume.

Graeme what do the dirt track guys run for 19'' rears? I want to do some practice days on my CR125 but it seems the choice of block pattern is pretty slim ???

Doh! thanks  Hoony. never gave speedway tyres a thought ::) should have grabbed a couple of Catapults when I worked for Bert Kingston in the late '70's but I saw they were 19'' and thought how utterly useless!! If I had done that I'm sure I'd still have them to this day ;D

19" trials are available, Mate runs em on his current model Kato.

Bigger contact patch he claims.

I think there are a few 19" trials around, like Vee Rubber which seems fairly popular, and I think Mitas? I'm told the speedway tyres aren't the best on the MX bikes as they need to be spinning to work and we tend to be on and off the gas on MX bikes which makes them a bit inconsistent.

Thanks for the info. I don't need a top of the line tyre for the little riding I'll be doing so V Rubber or Mitas could be the ticket. Will have a look see ;)

Go with the 19 inch ver rubber trials.

The speedway will cake up too much on the Elsinore and you might end up on your bottom!!
