« on: January 31, 2018, 12:30:31 pm »
Iv got a XL250s here..it keeps running dry in the head. Iv checked the oil pump and gallery's as much as I can without splitting the cases, no obvious cause yet. Any ideas??  :o

Seen a few that have suffered from silastic mechanics. Oil galleries and big loose goobs of silastic don't mix.

I rebuilt an xr500 I think it was a 82 for a mate the last owner had lost the oil pipe that you mentioned so he replaced it with a bolt and didn't tell anyone you can figure how bad the engine suffered after that and the mates wallet, little traps can always be found from the inexperienced when repairing things keeps life interesting.
