Hi Geoff.
Everyone in my club already hates me so I may as well rub salt into the wound. I'm taking my riding buddy Steve after a deal done between us when we bought tickets. I'll be paying for my partner to come along and hopefully she'll ensure Steve and I don't get locked up or catch a dose of something. We are leaving a weak earlier to catch the Seattle Supercross, quick trip to Dallas to watch a Major League Baseball game, drive to Jefferson for Diamond Don's and then have an extra week in Austin, to see lots of live music and then Moto GP. So far everything has gone perfectly and Ron and the guys from Whitsunday VMX couldn't be more helpful.
I'll post piccies when we get back and we are hoping that trophies are awarded for slowest Internationals.
I tried to convince work that I was representing my country and they should give me some extra time off. When they eventually stopped laughing, it was a resounding no. In fact, I think I only got that answer because they had to draw breath as the laughing started up as soon as I took the walk of shame out of their office. It was worth a try.
